Her husband passed away a year ago.
Second son never moved out.
Firstborn son, she don’t talk about.
Got a daughter ran away to Ohio.
She’s bent over like a willow tree.
Shuffles past, but she doesn’t see.
Holds a photo of a little child.
It’s torn and tattered but he’s running wild and free.

All her prayers couldn’t save her firstborn son
From the damage other people’d done.

It’s our little secret game. Don’t tell anyone.”
